Amanda Waxman
Anger Management Coach

Anger management became my passion in 2015 when I realised that I was encountering more and more people having trouble containing their anger.  With the onset of the global pandemic, this increased exponentially to all areas of the population.  Now, everyone is angry.  Having the tools to teach people, young and old, to manage their anger is truly a gift in today’s environment.  Let me take you on a journey of self-discovery where anger is the road sign, not the 'baddie'.  Anger management will bring a lightness to your life that you cannot even imagine is possible.

The many experiences I gained throughout my career have provided the background necessary to embark on this journey.  I have worked with children with learning difficulties for the last ten years.  What started out as teaching children with developmental and/or academic difficulties (ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, attention, etc) progressively turned into educating children in social skills and assisting with behavioural difficulties which increasingly became anger dominant.  To be able to bring a child from a place of confusion to a place of peace is truly rewarding.

I now see adults and children for anger management, either individually or in groups.  Contact me using the form below to find out more about the programme.

Previously I worked for nearly 20 years in the United Nations Press Office which taught me all of my communication skills and the importance of communicating accurately.

I obtained a BSc and MSc in Psychology from the Open University in 2003 and 2010 respectively.  I am fluent in French and English.  I have a passion for sports, especially skiing and boxing, and practice mediation and yoga daily.

My first love was cooking. I worked as a chef at the top Geneva gastronomic restaurant, Le Chat Botté in the Hotel Beau Rivage. This taught me professionalism, the importance of teamwork, and how a group dynamic can create an extraordinary outcome.

For two years previously I worked at the World Health Organisation on the AIDS pandemic in the healthcare department.  I like to think that that experience prepared me for what we are living today.
